Jules and I had already decided that Marybeth was the perfect person to marry us. When it came time to arrange something for my ‘hens night’ I thought of all the usual things, wine tours and dinner and dancing, but for me none of it fit the occasion. To my mind connecting with my friends to celebrate my up-coming wedding required more tenderness.
